modding install error

every time i try to install a mod like the controller support for example the mod manager just keeps bringing up the box to update the game repair database and nothing else. please help

Send a debugging log as described in the help/contact menu.

Also with mod manager closed zip up data/databases folder and send that too. Otherwise I have nothing to work with.
