Mass Effect 3 SP Controller Support
Re: Mass Effect 3 SP Controller Support
@Keffy
I'll look into it, but it won't be a priority.
@WingedBeetle
The config for PS3 has swapped triggers from Xbox. You will need to swap them in a rebinder to fix it. Here's a guide a ps3 user wrote: https://m.reddit.com/r/masseffect/comme ... _possible/
@Foul
Yeah, you need to go to mod manager and do restore MP DLC+Basegame to remove the MP version and most of SP. To fully remove SP you also need to go into restore/custom dlc manager and delete dlc_con_xbx. Once you have done that you can install the other mod.

Re: Mass Effect 3 SP Controller Support
Hi,
I hate to sound like a noob but I have been trying unsuccessfully to get this mod to work. Everytime I click the "Apply Mod" in ME3 explorer, the installation crashes and gives me the following Microsoft .NET Framework error message:
Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.
Could not load file or assemble 'KFreonLib, Version=1.1.718.684, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
I'm running Windows 10 and have the latest version of Java installed. Sorry if this has been answered before. I've been searching for a solution for weeks now and haven't been able to make any headway on my own. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Mass Effect 3 SP Controller Support
Do you mean mod manager? I am not sure why some files are missing... Did your antivirus think one of the files was suspicious and delete it? I know they love to think recent copies of me3explorer are suspicious. Antivirus and programmers just don't really seem to work together.
If you mean me3explorer, not sure, this mod is installed by mod Manager (it calls me3explorer but you don't do any of it)

Re: Mass Effect 3 SP Controller Support
Smh... This whole time I thought it was the Single Player mod since I only downloaded it mod manager just for it. Everytime I hit "Apply Mod" in ModManager it would crash and show the message I mentioned above. After I hit ok it would show a window an empty me3explorer window that had "Femshep's Fork" (or something along those lines. sorry I never took a screenshot).
After reading your response I downloaded the Mod Manager again and found that Norton was indeed deleting files automatically. I can't believe I missed that before. I have stepped away during installation or was multi-tasking with something else. Thanks for getting me going in right direction and more importantly for making this Mod.

Re: Mass Effect 3 SP Controller Support
Evening!
I've been using this mod successfully for a couple months now - very good, and I've had no issues...
Until this week.
Recently, I updated to the latest Windows 10 "Insider" build - 14295. Since doing so, using the analog sticks on my Logitech F510 cause the game to stutter and appear as though I'm running a poor system.
My guess is that this is the XInput driver that the latest build of Windows 10 uses, and not your mod.
Has anyone else experienced anything similar? Best way I've been able to reproduce the behaviour is during cutscenes - - by twirling the analog sticks, the game drops frames/stutters.
Apologies - just wanted to drop a note to say THAT issue is most likely not the mod, but a Windows issue.
As an aside - is anyone using a Logitech F### controller in Direct input (vs. Xinput)?
Cheers

Re: Mass Effect 3 SP Controller Support
I have finally achieved dynamic subtitle scaling with proper text placement. I also have fixed he placement of the scaled hint to not block the health bar. It works on both 16:9 and 16:10.
I will do a bit more testing and release it. This should eliminate the need for me to generate new files and choose scaling options for users.
For 4K users I have noticed some other elements do not scale. Such as the progress bars in the top right of some missions, the clone medigel counter, etc. These gui files appear in 'a lot' of different files. I am thinking of making an add on to this mod that fixes those, but it will be pretty large and will heavily impact compatibility with other mods, so it'll be optional.

Re: Mass Effect 3 SP Controller Support
Loving the 1.80 update, this has fixed the minor issues i was having with the HUD and hint pop ups. The only problem now is the POI element. This is massive for me now Everything else is perfect. Is there a way to revert this back to it's original size? I understand this would defeat the purpose of "scaling" but is there a quick fix i do for my 1920x1200 screen? Thanks again.
Re: Mass Effect 3 SP Controller Support
Yes. Restore your game as normal and edit the moddesc.ini for SP Controller Support. Under TESTPATCH remove the Patch_...ContentMarkers.PCC from the new files line and the corresponding /BIOGame/...ContentMarkers.PCC part of the replace files line.
Remove the trailing ; if there is one after that entry as it is what splits the files.
Reload mod manager. If you edited it correctly it will still show up. That will remove the file that increases the marker size. (It's the same size as it is on Xbox)

Re: Mass Effect 3 SP Controller Support
Brilliant, thanks. Also, any luck with the deadzone values trouble i had on the nexus forums? My sticks are getting worse.
EDIT:
I did as you said regarding the POI fix, but the size remains the same...Is this correct? I just want it a little smaller. It's really intrusive.

Re: Mass Effect 3 SP Controller Support
Did you restore your game first? Otherwise the files would still be installed. Restore testpatch.
