Mass Effect 3 SP Controller Support
Re: Mass Effect 3 SP Controller Support
I clicked restore everything just to be safe. Mod still appeared in Mod Manager, check the moddesc.ini and the files i'd deleted were still gone. In game is still the same though.
Re: Mass Effect 3 SP Controller Support
Can you send a pic of what you are experiencing? Maybe I am thinking of the wrong part of the GUI. There's a lot of small ones.
Re: Mass Effect 3 SP Controller Support
Compared to pre 1.080
The POI marker stays the same size regardless of how close you are to it. It just seems unnecessarily big to me.
Re: Mass Effect 3 SP Controller Support
hey ive recently been fighting to get ALOT working with your controller mod. i looked through the thread to find the tutorial you were going to make, but couldnt find it. if i undertand correctly, i have to install your mod first, then install ALOT? his thread says to do it the other way around, Here, so im unsure which way is best. his way seems to crash before startup, it wont even load up the bioware intro. ive reinstalled mass effect 3 and his textures 4-5 times now, and i really dont want to do it again. any assistance would be awesome. ive been in contact with creeperlava and was instructed to ask you.Mgamerz wrote:To use games toc files use that option in mod manager's options menu. To use texture mods you would install this mod first and then install texutres over it... But due to how this mod is made (custom dlc) textures that the controller files reference will be the original ones, as I don't think texplorer mods other mods when working with textures. You can try to "slipstream" (integrate controller mod files into the game, instead of a "load instead of original file", but I don't know how that works precisely. The files in the dlc_con_xbx that end with .PCC are located in other dlc files, and you would find the corresponding one that matches and replace it with that one. You would not install the dlc folder itself. I'll write a mini tutorial when I get on my pc today.
Re: Mass Effect 3 SP Controller Support
I have not used A LOT (or any texture mods), so I can't definitively say how his process works... Not sure what the PCConsoleTOC for the basegame needs to be manually inserted into cmmbackup, but I *have* noticed a bit of oddities with the backup system for mod manager with that specific file. I am pretty sure that once you install this mod and integrate A LOT with it, you cannot apply this again as it will install my files and not the merged ones from his mod. SP Controller Support is for the most part done so you don't need to worry too much more about updates. I have some more stuff in the pipeline but I don't think it will affect this mod per se.
Here's what /I think/.
You install SP Controller Support. This will modify files in the basegame, TESTPATCH, and add a new DLC to the game. In the basegame a few files are modified, and many in the new DLC that are relevant to ALOT. Next, I would assume you install A LOT, as it will install and see the modified files and use them instead. This will essentially integrate his mod into mine (while mine is integrated into the game at this point). However, if you install updates or restore via mod manager, it will restore the non-integrated files back.
The big issue is that both of our mods are very invasive in terms of how many files they mod, and getting them to play nice isn't as easy as some people seem to think. Anyways if creeper can supply me with a small texture pack (So i don't have to spent hours installing them) I can probably write up a guide for both. I don't have interest in doing the full mod cause I will uninstall it as soon as I change mods (which is very often)
I know of a way that would fix just about all of these problems (putting GUI files into a startup file), but I don't have the technical know how to clone everything and actually get stuff to work. It's very, very time consuming to even do 1 and there's like 50.
@Keffy
Yes, I can supply the original file you would use to fix that back to its old state. That is the Markers (not content markers) file. I'll get a fix to you today, if not then tomorrow. You will need to use my GUI Transplanter Tools (In the GUI Options folder if the script didn't delete it already). Copy that TRANSPLANTER folder out of that directory to somewhere else and I will give you the file and the command to install it.

Re: Mass Effect 3 SP Controller Support
Thanks man, I'll keep my eyes peeled.
Re: Mass Effect 3 SP Controller Support
Didn't happen last night, GF got crazy sick. I'll try to get it to you this morning.
Re: Mass Effect 3 SP Controller Support
Hope she gets well soon.Mgamerz wrote:Didn't happen last night, GF got crazy sick. I'll try to get it to you this morning.
By the way, should I wait for enabling the keyboard input just for the menu EA login? OR just continue without it?
I did as you suggested and were able to use and login, however after I added the mods back; I was still logged out :/

@Keffy
These lines in the TESTPATCH BioInput file should control your deadzone values. I think higher values indicate more deadzone.
For the large markers, try this Startup.pcc file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9bwvh ... sp=sharing
Replace your BASEGAME/Startup.pcc file with it, and then in Mod Manager click on the mod and do Mod Utils > Run AutoTOC on this mod and then install the mod.
@Arko
I can look into the login menu, but it's kinda hard to test since I don't know how to trigger it. I like some of their code though, very honest.
I am able to get the screens to load but I cannot get to the logon screen. I think I can get it using a crack but I don't want to have to download like 50GB for 1 file.
Code: Select all
<Value type="2">( Name="Console_Strafe", Command="Axis aStrafe Speed=1.0 DeadZone=0.2" )</Value>
<Value type="2">( Name="Console_Movement", Command="Axis aBaseY Speed=1.0 DeadZone=0.2" )</Value>
<Value type="2">( Name="Console_Movement_Invert", Command="Axis aBaseY Speed=-1.0 DeadZone=0.2" )</Value>
<Value type="2">( Name="Console_LookX", Command="Axis aTurn Speed=1.0 DeadZone=0.1" )</Value>
<Value type="2">( Name="Console_LookY", Command="Axis aLookup Speed=1.0 DeadZone=0.1" )</Value>
<Value type="2">( Name="Console_LookY_Invert", Command="Axis aLookup Speed=-1.0, DeadZone=0.1" )</Value>
