Editing ServerCoalesced

Hey.

i am currently trying to edit the ServerCoalesced to overwrite some balance changes but i noticed that even if i save the changes they dont apply for some strange reason. I dont know whats causing this...but maybe you can help me out.

Are you using the balance changes replacer ASI?

yes, i do...i pretty much eliminated every possible error by now...but somehow it still doest work for me :(

What values are you changing? Are you placing it in the ASI folder near the masseffect3 binary?

I use this directory : C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Mass Effect 3\Binaries\Win32\asi

I tried to change N7 hurricanes recoil and zoomrecoil...havent tested anything else tho cuz i rly tried to figure out what went wrong

N7 Hurricanes recoil is heavily reduced and DMG massivly increased...cuz the changes are very easy visible so it's easy to check if changes apply or not....for me they are not.

But hey you are the Pro here...maybe you can tell me what i did wrong

Testing it now. Indeed I am seeing that the changes are not taking effect.

I am comparing your file to the original server coalesced one, and I am noticing all of the types are wrong - the values need to be type 0, not type 2. Type 0 means assignment and override, where type 2 is add (even if duplicate). Essentially this is a adding a second damage value that can't be used (the game isn't programmed to read it as a list).

You need to change all types in BioWeapon.ini from server coalesced to type 0. I am not sure if you copy pasted from somewhere, or why it decompiled to XML with type 2's.

You can decompile it by dragging and dropping it onto the main mod manager interface, and recompile it by dragging the manifest xml file (same filename as original bin) back onto it.
