ME3 Shared Cooldown Removal

Post by Shad0wlife »

Ok, as I already stated on reddit (where Mgamerz informed me of this forum) I found out shared cooldown can be disabled via command, but if the corresponding change of the default value of the variable in the pcc does not work.

Mgamerz then informed me that testpatch might edit the values of the pcc afterwards. Now, since I'm fairly new to ME3 modding, I have no idea what Testpach (and Patch2, which is often named together with the prior one) are actually. I guess they are some patches but in my BioGame/Patches folder, there is only a Patch_001.sfar file.

I'm really interested into avoiding using the console command every time, so I'd be grateful for help!

Edit: Oh yeah forgot the information on HOW to remove the cooldown:

"Set SFXPowerCustomAction UsesSharedCooldown false" is the command.
But setting UsesSharedCoolown to false in Default__SFXPowerCustomAction has no effect somehow.

I made a mixin of this and confirmed it works. I am working on getting you a copy of the compiled file as well as a mod manager mod that will put the file into the TESTPATCH file. Quite a new find you have. I put your name on the author slot :P

Cloak and flamer are mega OP with literally no cooldowns. Collector swarms do not trigger a cool down.

I did it at like 2AM so I am still working on making a standalone version. It'll be way OP in SP with some serious cooldowns needs.

Aww yes, thanks so much for creating this as a mod!
I guess for the cooldowns, the balancing is done in the coalesced, right?

Yeah, or you can use modmaker. Though I don't think it covers all cooldowns in SP yet.

You mind if I put this on nexus mods too?

No, go ahead. I'll be quick to endorse it!
But you might want to add yourself as a dev in the moddesc file too :D
